A Little History
Mr. Winston Abrams, owner & founder of Computer Reset; attended Franklyn Public School & Markham District High School, both located in Markham, Ontario, Canada. Also studied Computer/Network Technician/Administration, Teacher Training & Curriculum Development at the Centennial HP Technology College located in Toronto, Canada for three years. He has a Computer Repair Technician Diploma, a Diploma in Theology and founded and operated a company called Computer Resets & Networks in Canada. He is the author of four books and the founder of Another Chance Ministries Inc. Mr. Abrams taught Computer Networking at ABIIT (The Antigua & Barbuda International Institute of Training & Technology), has worked for IBM Canada as a Technical Support Analyst, The Herjavec Group in Toronto, Canada as a Network Security Analyst and has over twenty years of administering & teaching Information Technology in most capacities. Mr. Abrams also possess Comp TIA’s A+, Network+ and I.T. Operations Specialist International Certifications.
Computer Reset is a home-grown business with humble roots. It began in Mr. Abram’s kitchen in Bolan’s Village over twenty (20) years ago. He utilized his kitchen for computer repairs and his living room for one-on-one computer training. He then began selling computers and utilized the profit to rent a building of Old Parham Road, where Computer Reset was officially launched. He first began offering Computer Services to homes and businesses; then Computer Training, Internet Café, Printing and photocopying services were added. Eventually he added CXC Training to the list when he returned from his further studies in Canada; then the following services were added thereafter: Website Design, Surveillance Camera Installation, Small Business Consultancy, Data Base Architecture & Design, Point of Sale Installation and Curriculum Development. By the grace of God, Computer Reset is what is today. They have trained most of Antigua and Barbuda in Computer Technology; bank workers, government workers and every facet of the Antiguan Society.
Computer Reset has also given back to the community in numerous ways. Computer Reset, in conjunction with the Another Chance Ministries founded and funded a soup Kitchen, feeding the homeless and eventually added a rescue mission component when they took vagrants off the streets and moved them in their building to dwell. Computer Reset provided free training to those desirous of Computer literacy in the Police Department for numerous years. They have offered numerous scholarships and tuition reduction to the youths and families that were unable to pay for classes. They partnered with the United Nations and a local Church to provide in-kind funding and operate the first and only e-waste recycling center on the Island of Antigua & Barbuda. Computer Reset has provided numerous scholarships and mentorship to the boys of the Boys Training School, while donating computers & supporting their computer & Network infrastructure free of cost. Computer Reset has provided free training to the unemployed of Antigua via the Government’s ABSTEP (unemployment program) for numerous years. They have donated Computers and provided free computer training to the men of her Majesty’s prison. They currently offer Computer Sales & Repairs, Computer & CXC Classes, Database Architecture & Design, Website Development, Surveillance Cameras& Network Installation, Point of Sale Installation, Small Business Consultancy, Curriculum Development, Internet Café, Passport Photos, Photocopying, Laminating & Printing services.
Computer Reset wish to thank first of all, Our Lord & Savior Jesus Christ; without whom Computer Reset would not be in existence. They also wish to thank all of their customers; especially the loyal ones, who have followed them around the nation over the years and seeks them out no matter where they locate their office on the Island. They will be the first to admit that they have not been perfect over the years; but what they have tried to do; is to deal with their customers fairly; as they would like to be treated if they were the customers, by the grace of God – Look what the Lord has done.
